A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be solved using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet surprisingly easy to use, and it will enable you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another mailbox with this option enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small logo handily situated directly next to each of them. With only one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the context menu that will come into view. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
